What is STRProof?+

STRProof creates condition receipts for short-term rentals. Hosts document the property before arrival, guests can confirm or flag condition, cleaners inspect after checkout, and everything is organized into a timestamped proof packet.

How does the 30-day trial work?+

You can start with one property for 30 days and use the core proof flow before choosing a paid plan. Paid subscriptions also start with a 30-day Stripe trial when you subscribe.

Do I need to install an app?+

No. STRProof works in any browser. Your guest receives a link, opens it on their phone, and reviews the photos. No download, no account, no app install.

What happens if the guest doesn't respond?+

The report still shows the guest was invited and whether they completed, skipped, or missed the flow. Your host or cleaner photos remain timestamped so you still have a baseline record.

Can I use STRProof reports for Airbnb disputes?+

Yes. STRProof gives you organized documentation you can submit to Airbnb, Vrbo, direct-booking guests, insurers, or property owners. Platform and insurance decisions are still made by those companies, so STRProof does not guarantee an outcome.

What are the three photo moments?+

Moment 1: Post-cleaning photos before the guest arrives (baseline). Moment 2: Guest departure photos at checkout (what they left). Moment 3: Cleaner inspection after checkout, before the next clean (damage documentation). The Free Trial includes Moment 1 only.

Who takes the photos?+

For Moment 1, either the host or the assigned cleaner uploads photos. For Moment 2, the guest takes departure photos on their phone. For Moment 3, the cleaner inspects and photographs the property before cleaning.

Is my data secure?+

All photos are encrypted at rest and in transit. Files are stored in your own MinIO instance with server-side encryption. Guest links are cryptographically signed and expire automatically. No third-party file storage.

Is a STRProof report legally binding?+

No. STRProof reports are factual documentation, not legal advice or certified legal evidence. They help organize timestamps, photos, acknowledgments, and inspection details so you have a clearer record if a dispute happens.

Can cleaners use STRProof?+

Yes. Assigned cleaners can use the mobile cleaner workflow to see turnovers, upload inspection photos, complete verification checklists, and flag damage before cleaning.

Can STRProof help with insurance claims?+

It can help you provide organized before-and-after documentation, but insurers make their own coverage and claim decisions. STRProof does not guarantee reimbursement.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. No contracts. Cancel from your billing settings or Stripe Customer Portal. If you cancel during the trial, Stripe will not charge the first monthly subscription fee.

Do you offer plans for property managers?+

Yes. The Operator plan is built for larger portfolios that need more properties, team workflows, inventory tracking, retention controls, and complete three-moment documentation.
